Missed lead revenue calculator
This calculator estimates the revenue you lose each month from enquiries that never get answered. Enter how many people contact you, roughly what share goes unanswered, how often you close the ones you do answer, and what a customer is worth. The result is simple arithmetic on your own numbers — no signup, no email.
Estimated revenue you never see
$0
This is arithmetic on the numbers you entered — not a study or a promise. Change any input to see how the math moves.
How to read the number
The figure above is not a forecast and it is not a study. It is your own inputs multiplied together. That is deliberate: you can check every step, and you can push the inputs around until they match what you actually see in your inbox.
The formula is: unanswered enquiries × your close rate × the value of one customer. The reason the total tends to surprise people is that all three numbers are ordinary. Nothing has to be dramatic for the yearly figure to get uncomfortable.
Where to find your real inputs
Guessing is fine for a first pass, but the number gets useful when the inputs are real. All four are findable in under fifteen minutes.
- Monthly enquiries: add up your phone log, Instagram and WhatsApp message requests, and website form fills for one month.
- Share unanswered: count the conversations where your last reply came more than a few hours later — or never. Late counts as missed; most people have already booked elsewhere.
- Close rate: of the enquiries you answered properly last month, how many turned into paying customers?
- Customer value: your average ticket. If you have repeat customers, use what they spend in a year, not per visit — that is the real cost of losing one.
What to do with the answer
If the number is small, you do not have an enquiry-handling problem and you should spend your money on getting more enquiries instead. That is a legitimate outcome of this calculator.
If the number is bigger than a few hundred dollars a month, the problem is not effort — it is coverage. Enquiries arrive when you are with a customer, driving, or asleep, and no amount of trying harder fixes that. Coverage is what a Digital Branch buys you: something that answers in seconds at 11pm on a Sunday and books the appointment while the person is still interested.
Sanity-check it against the cost of fixing it
Put your monthly figure next to the options. A part-time front-desk hire covers a fraction of the week for thousands a month. An answering service charges by the call or the minute, so your busiest month is also your most expensive. SleekBase is $49/month flat for Essential and $99/month for Smart, with a 7-day free trial.
If your calculated loss is below the monthly cost of the fix, do not buy anything. If it is several times higher, you are choosing to keep paying the loss.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to give my email to see the result?
No. The result appears as you type and nothing is sent anywhere. The calculator runs entirely in your browser.
Why does "answered late" count as missed?
Because in practice it behaves the same way. Someone who messages three businesses at 9pm generally books with whoever replies first, not whoever replies best.
Is this based on industry research?
No, and that is intentional. It is arithmetic on the numbers you enter. We would rather give you a transparent formula than a borrowed statistic you cannot verify.
What if my enquiries are seasonal?
Run it twice — once for a busy month, once for a quiet one. The gap between the two is usually the strongest argument for flat-rate coverage over per-call pricing.
